I've always wanted to live on the coast (waves are a must) and play soccer in college. When I visited PBA's campus last summer, I loved the location and the atmosphere on campus. PBA offers my fields of interest: Marine Biology, Zoology and Environmental Science. I also like their emphasis on service learning. At the camp, Coach Gnehm, his staff, and players were so welcoming. Their style of play fits well with mine. I'm so excited to grow as a player and person at PBA.

LIV'S PARENTS, MARCI AND JAY, SAY THE FOLLOWING:

We knew that Liv made the right decision when, after she verbally committed, Coach Gnehm said "welcome to the family".

For the past two years, Liv has thrived in the family environment at Omaha United SC. Jose, Danka, Lu and now Nela truly welcome these players into their lives.

Jose is also Liv's coach at Omaha Central, so she's been blessed with his tremendous coaching and support for going on four years. He has been amazing in the recruiting process. Liv would not be where she's at without his assistance and persistence.

Jovan and Heather are incredible with the OUSC 02G team. Jovan has been a great coach for Liv. He pushes her and encourages her. She loves to go to training. Jovan's enthusiasm and caring for his players are obvious. Plus his team selfies are the best!

We will never forget Liv's first tryout with OUSC last summer. Typically tryouts are stressful, especially for players looking to change teams. When she walked out onto the field, she was welcomed by the other players. It was then that we knew that OUSC was exactly where she was meant to be.

It's going to be hard to leave OUSC after this season. The coaches, the players, and the parents are truly amazing. But we know that Liv will be in great hands at PBA, and we are confident that she will continue to grow academically and athletically.

I am beyond proud and happy for Liv. I know for the longest time she wanted to play soccer in Florida. I think her decision was the right decision for her and her family. She has been a joy coaching in high school and to water her succeed at Omaha United has been amazing to watch. Congratulations to you and your family. We will miss you next year.
